The Yo-SD (whose name I forgot) belongs to my dear Girlytattoos. The dolls in the back belong to Elasaid Aiden. The foulmouthed blue LadySaiyuki Ted is, of course, mine. :)

Oh, I am so happy. Awhile ago, I gave a struggling artist a fiver. She was going to write me a poem, and I didn't hear back for awhile, so I thought she had forgotten. Ah well, it was just a couple of bucks, right?

Well, today I got my poem! It is about the dolls. SHARING NOW.

The Beautiful Horde

Went to the annual Florida Holiday Meetup, and had fun despite the crappy weather. Took a couple of dolls. Can you find them?

Yesterday I received Liz's intended outfit, the Den of Angels anniversary Dollheart Steampunk. Oh man. I promised q52 photos, so I sat out in the nasty remains of Tropical Storm Ida (cold, windy, dreary, damp...but not raining!) and did just that!

Since Marie, her girlfriend, also recently received her Dollheart Bunny Prince outfit, they got to do a bit of mugging together. It's all under the cut!

So, a few months after being able to snag the Golden Fer for my angel doll K, I fell across pretty much the perfect Dollheart shoes for her on the Marketplace. (Now I have to buy her the high-heeled feet--you'll sort of see in the photos.)

And once I had them on, it was time to go outside and shoot a bit in my mini rain garden. I'm quite miffed--we've had some unseasonably chilly weather around these parts, yet the mosquitoes have apparently refused to die. So I'm quite itchy right now. Anyway, on with the photos!

Yep. We had to do it. This is seriously and honestly mostly Lizzie, as she was always the one being tossed in the bag because, well...that's her lot in life, to basically be attached to me when my twin q52 can't be, lol.

Yep, since his unfortunate split from his previous girlfriend (humans are ridiculous), Baron's been enjoying the single life with his son Oliver. However, it was the waitress Petsha (yep, that's her name) at the tea house, who'd kept trying to get his attention for months, who would eventually prevail.

Petsha is ladylenneth's, she accidentally snuck home with me at the end of Ancient City Con in a big bag full of dolly. Neither Baron nor Petsha are complaining, though. And hey, what's one more around here, anyway?

Doll shoots on July evenings in Florida turn into "how many shots can you get off before the skeeters eat you alive?" Therefore, there are only five. Sorry! *itchitchscratch*

I'm bored, it's been raining for days so I can't take doll photos, and I was messing around with some dolly friends. Therefore, there is a quiz. It will be fun! Everyone take it! I am becoming less and less pleased with Dollcatch and their abysmal customer service as time goes on. As of now, though, this has not extended to my one correct doll, the Elysia I have named Cassie. Even though she has been nothing but trouble since she arrived, up to today wherein I discover my rabbit chomped on her nose (nose jobs when there's an existing faceup are tricky, I tell you), but what did I expect when I named her for a novel character who is the granddaughter of Faeries?

Vivi was...a direct challenge. LadySaiyuki said she couldn't honestly see her anthro tiny, Wolfram, as a female. Not only have I done it, but thwippersnapple has turned her into the sweetest little huggable thing you've ever seen. But you be the judge...and please ignore anything that looks wrong with Cassie's nose, I wanted to do the dang mini-shoot, chomp or no chomp!

Choseol is still in pieces, but we're working on it. So far, she's been dremeled a bit, Oxi-cleaned, and is ready for Apoxie Sculpt (once I find it in this town).

Also, I keep acquiring Dollheart to the happiness of my dolls and the detriment of my bank account, lol. Want to see it all?

ladylenneth's DIM Choseol is hanging out at my house for awhile...I'm going to try and see if I can't fix what a horrible "modder" did to her in 2007, and try to make her stand. But as you can see, she is clearly hating every second. *grin*

Liz is proudly displaying what I bought her at IDEX. Not only the bunny purse, but the green eyes. You can't really see it in this photo, but MAN do Pabol Emerald Greens pierce. I'd be lying if I said that my major aim at IDEX, beyond working for LadySaiyuki Dolls, wasn't to go pillage the Pabol table. Getting three pairs of eyes last year on the very last day was just not good enough, and I thought about it a lot. If you didn't know, Pabol is the company who have an exclusive contract with Volks. No, they don't make the Zouks, but they sure do make all the HG glass eyes. What do those cost a pair? Yeah, way too flipping much. On the Pabol website, most pairs of eyes run $20 (so they tell me). But during IDEX, they run an amazing sale, $10 for 14mm and $15 for 16mm. YEAH I KNOW! And last year I could only grab three pair T_T But this year, I came very prepared!

$180 and 15 pairs of eyes later, the Pabol people are in love with me, lol. I got almost every colour on the table, and I got FOUR pairs of Emerald Green eyes...two 14s, one 16, and one 18. The colour is THAT gorgeous. The photo simply doesn't do them justice, but let me tell you...Liz's eyes POP now and she's very happy with them. XD

It's really been a long time since I gave this journal anything of substance, eh?  I simply have had very little time left in my days to photograph my dolls, which is something I always enjoy.  So blah!

I have gotten a passel of new dolls since I last posted, however...they always seem to come in clumps!  I have three new LadySaiyuki creations and was happily able to buy both the Bunny Boy and Bunny Girl that Elfdoll was selling at their special meetup at IDEX 2009 Orlando.  There may be a storyline you all might be privy to with them if I can play my cards right...*grin*

Since when did I end up with over thirty dolls?  @_@  The mind boggles!!!

I have no actual new photos to share with you all, but I hope to rectify that this coming weekend.

So my Dark and Snow Fers arrived from Jpopdolls today. To be honest, I wasn't expecting them until January, because that's how long Fers usually take! But no, I was surprised with a package today. I put them on Sydney and Lauren, my mature DOC girls, and both fit very well, both the Petsha body and Tender Twingkey body. No photos of them yet, as special dresses require special photos.

I've never liked the jackets that came with the Dollheart Fers. I've always thought they're pretty heinous. However, I wanted to see how Epiphany, one of my little Bambicronies, fit into one. Despite the jacket being for an MSD...


Epi: ...I can't decide. Should I be singing Stevie Nicks or Loreena McKennitt?

Now that Honour Grace has finally woken up, it was time to give the girls another photoshoot. I spent most of today at beautiful Lake Ella here in Tallahassee, and why not play with my dolls?

Epiphany and Honour decided they wanted to see Disney Hollywood Studios over any other park. So they went with us and had a great time :) Epiphany Anne is a Bambicrony Elf Shy in floral white skin, and Honour Grace is a Bambicrony Elf Lullaby Lotti in floral white skin.
